If you’re at all considering attending the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, you can now register for tickets at https://tickets.la28.org/.

Per the website, here’s how the process works:

  • Registration. Register your interest in tickets for up to five events between January 14-March 18, 2026. Registration puts you into a lottery for tickets to the events that you select.
  • Time slot notification. Between March 31-April 7, 2026, you’ll receive an e-mail telling you whether you’ve received a time slot for the designated drop or presale.
  • Pre-sale. Residents of the greater Los Angeles are will have access to a pre-sale for tickets between April 2-6, 2026, which covers residents in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura countries.
  • First ticket drop. From April 9-19, 2026, ticket sales open up to people outside of the greater Los Angeles area (and as this is called the “first” ticket drop, it sounds like there may be more, depending on demand).

As a Los Angeles resident, I’m really excited for the pre-sale and I picked diving, BMX (freestyle), tennis, artistic gymnastics, and swimming as my five events. I am a bit nervous about how Los Angeles will actually handle the Olympics, but I’m crossing fingers and toes that we’ll be able to put on a great event (while also causing minimal disruptions to the daily lives of us Angelinos).

Will you try to attend the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles? Let me know in the comments!
