As reported by Aeroroutes, United is making some changes to its Summer 2025 international flights. Below are some of the updates flyers can expect, organized by airport:
Newark
- Athens flights will start on March 29, 2025 instead of the previously scheduled start date of March 6, 2025. The good news is that there will be additional flights between Newark and Athens, increasing from seven to 10 weekly flights.
- New seasonal service to Bilbao, Spain from May 31, 2025 through September 23, 2025.
- New seasonal service to Funchal, Portugal on Madeira from June 7, 2025 through September 23, 2025.
- New seasonal service to Nuuk, Greenland from June 14, 2025 through September 24, 2025.
- New seasonal service to Palermo, Italy from May 21, 2025 through September 24, 2025.
- Newark to Dubrovnik flights will increase from four to seven weekly flights.
- There will be four weekly flights between Newark and Faro, Portugal between May 16, 2025 and September 22, 2025.
- Flights to Palma de Mallorca, Spain will increase from three to four weekly flights.
- Flights to Ponta Delgada, Portugal in the Azores will resume season service on June 5, 2025 and increase from five to seven weekly flights by June 30, 2025.
- Flights between Newark and Porto, Portugal will increase from once to twice daily.
- Flights to Reykjavik will resume on June 26, 2025.
- Once daily seasonal service to Shannon, Ireland will begin on April 3, 2025.
- Flights to Tenerife South in Spain will end as of May 2, 2025.
Chicago O’Hare
- The Athens route will now operate longer, from May 1, 2025 through September 24, 2025 (previously the route was scheduled for May 22, 2025 through September 1, 2025).
- The Barcelona season route will start flying on April 21, 2025 instead of the previously scheduled start date of May 1, 2025.
- Flights to Milan will start a bit later, beginning on April 7, 2025 instead of the previously scheduled start date of March 29, 2025.
- Reykjavik flights will start a few days early, beginning on May 19, 2025 instead of the previously scheduled May 22, 2025 start date.
- Newark to Venice, Italy will begin once daily service beginning on March 29, 2025 instead of April 18, 2025.
Washington Dulles
- New route to Dakar, Senegal launches on May 23, 2025.
- Flights to London will be reduced from three to two daily flights effective March 29, 2025.
- New route to Nice, France with four weekly flights is scheduled to start on May 24, 2025 and end on September 24, 2025.
- New route to Venice, Italy will begin once daily service beginning May 22, 2025, reducing to four weekly flights on September 26, 2025.
San Francisco
Flights to Seoul Incheon will increase from once to twice daily beginning March 29, 2025.
Los Angeles
Los Angeles will see a significant reduction of flights from LAX to London, with scheduled flights reducing from twice daily to once per day.
Tokyo Narita
- Once daily flights between Tokyo Narita and Kaohsiung, Taiwan will begin on July 11, 2025.
- Once daily flights between Tokyo Narita and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia will begin May 1, 2025.
Bottom line
