Hermitage Bay, an SLH Hotel in Antigua is one of the most expensive hotels in the Hilton portfolio, with standard rooms going for over $3,200 per night (before taxes and fees) in the high season.

I’m planning on visiting this property next year — either for Thanksgiving or Christmas — and luckily booked the stay 10 days ago, where I was able to get five nights at 130,000 Hilton Honors points per night with the 5th night free, coming out to 520,000 Hilton Honors points total.

My current reservation, made November 9, 2024.

I decided to check to see if there were other available dates and discovered that the property is now selling standard rooms for 150,000 Hilton Honors points per night, a roughly 15.4% increase.

Calendar as of November 19, 2024 showing rates of 150,000 per night for a Standard Room Reward.

I’m not thrilled about this increase, but I’m also not surprised. The cash rate for the same five nights would be a whopping $18,656.75. Additionally, the hotel is an all-inclusive (and from the reviews, it doesn’t seem like it’s the type of all-inclusive with subpar food and wine — instead, the food and wine gets rave reviews by guests).

Additionally, the hotel recently went through renovations, including updating the base Garden Pool Villa Suite with its own private pool, which I think alone can justify the 20,000 points per night price hike.

I am curious if other hotels in the Hilton portfolio also increased their reward pricing, but I wasn’t able to find any after searching for a few.

Have you seen reward redemption prices go up at any other Hilton hotels? Let me know in the comments.
